The Bexhill men’s shed worked with the local cafe “The Good Story” at 45 St. Leonards Road, Bexhill on Sea and supported their new business by using 25 recycled scaffold boards to make them a new table and counter and help reduce their startup costs
Founder of The Good Story, Valeriya, recently won the Volunteer of the Year award from the Rother Voluntary Action group for her incredible work with Ukrainian refugees, which started with her and her two daughters opening a soup kitchen out of their home during the COVID lockdown for residents of Bexhill.
